Due to the La Nina summer and higher than average rainfall, we are currently working through a backlog of mowing in our parks, cemeteries, memorials, reserves and other public areas.
The wet weather has caused extreme growth and made ground conditions in some areas too wet to mow using our machinery. In addition to waiting until the rain stops, we also need to wait until the grounds to dry out, as putting machinery on soaked grounds is unsafe and can cause damage to the area.
We are working hard to reduce the backlog as weather and ground conditions permit and hope to have high use areas completed prior to Easter, however there may be delays in some locations.
