What's Happening In October

There's plenty to see, do and experience across Camden this October, with a packed program of events, entertainment, culture and activities for the whole community to enjoy.

The jewel in October's crown is Cultural Fusion - Narellan 2026, a vibrant, once-off multicultural festival celebrating the rich diversity of Camden, attracting audiences reflective of Camden's growing population. The event will be held on Saturday 10 October, 4-9pm, at Elyard Reserve and Narellan Library Forecourt and will showcase live performances, cultural food stalls, interactive creative workshops and activities for all ages.

For something a little more unique, residents are invited to the Faulty Towers The Dining Experience on Friday 9 October, 7-9pm, at Camden Civic Centre. Direct from London's Theatreland via the legendary Sydney Opera House, this world-renowned immersive phenomenon asks you to expect the unexpected. It's an unmissable, highly interactive comedy spectacular, where audiences enjoy a three-course meal alongside five-star comedy. Tickets are limited, so those interested are encouraged to book early to secure a spot!

Also on this month is:

  • Sunflower Concert on Wednesday 14 October, 11am, at Julia Reserve Community Centre. This concert is designed for people living with Dementia and a Hidden Disability who would benefit from a more relaxed concert environment;
  • The 2026 Australian National Rose Championships and Conference on Saturday 17 October, 9am-4pm, and Sunday 18 October, 10.30am-4.30am, at Camden Civic Centre;
  • Grandparents Day on Thursday 22 October, 10.30am-12.30pm, at Oran Park Library. Come along and celebrate Grandparents Day featuring Theatre Storytime and sensory play groups for all abilities. There will also be great intergenerational activities, and some exciting and fun giveaways for the kids; and
  • Author Talk - Tania Blanchard on Saturday 24 October, 1.30-3pm, at Narellan Library. Residents are invited to join Tania Blanchard as she talks about her book The Paris Prize, a fantastic historical fiction novel about grazier Maddy Rainforth who is on a mission to make the finest Merino wool.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Vince Ferreri, said October was shaping up to be an exciting month, with a diverse range of events offering something for residents of all ages and interests.

"October is a wonderful reminder of just how much there is to see, do and experience right here in Camden," the Mayor said.

"From celebrating cultures to enjoying a unique night of comedy to bringing people together, there are plenty of opportunities to get out, connect with others and have some fun.

"I encourage everyone to take a look at what's on, invite your family and friends along and make the most of everything Camden has to offer this October."
