Who Won $100 Million Powerball Last Night?

A mystery ticket purchased in Sydney’s eastern suburbs has netted the sole winner a staggering $100 million in Thursday night’s Powerball draw — but the jackpot may still be unclaimed.

The entry, which was not registered to a player account, was the only Division One winner nationally in Powerball draw 1517, drawn on 12 June 2025. As a result, the identity of Australia’s newest multi-millionaire remains unknown, and officials fear the winner might not yet realise they’ve become the country’s third-biggest lottery winner.

In addition to the $100 million windfall, more than three million other prizes were awarded across Divisions Two to Nine, amounting to over $60.9 million in prize money. Among them were six Division Two winners, each collecting $282,415.55.

Lotto officials are urging anyone who bought a ticket in Sydney’s eastern suburbs to check it immediately. The winning numbers were 28, 10, 3, 16, 31, 14 and 21, with the Powerball number 6.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he was eagerly waiting for Australia’s newest multi-millionaire to check their ticket and make contact to start the prize claim process.

“Someone has become an overnight mid-week multi-millionaire but possibly doesn't know it yet. We can’t wait for them to discover this winning news! Just imagine how $100 million might change your life and the lives of your nearest and dearest,” he said.

“There are 100 million reasons why all Sydney players who had an entry in this week's draw should check their ticket as soon as possible.

“If you discover you’re holding the division one winning entry, hold on tight to that ticket and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process.

“This is also an important reminder for players to register their lottery tickets to a player card or online account with The Lott Members Club, so if they are to score a major prize, we can reach out to them with the winning news.”
