Wilful Damage, Shorncliffe

Petrie Railway Squad have charged two men following reports of a train being graffitied in Shorncliffe on the weekend.

It is alleged at 11pm on 19 July two men wilfully damaged a train at a Shorncliffe train station.

Officers from Brisbane Dog Squad, Sandgate General Duties police, and Railway Squad conducted patrols and located the two men hiding in grass nearby.

It is alleged officers also located a bag with multiple cans of spray paint.

A 22-year-old Robina man and 24-year-old Deagon man have been charged with one count each of wilful damage by graffiti and trespass on a railway.

They are expected to appear before Sandgate Magistrates Court on 18 August.

Investigations are ongoing.
