Take a minute or two to praise one of the many exceptional local food businesses in the Cessnock local government area this month and you could be off to see a movie at the drive-in, as part of Cessnock City Council's Support Local campaign.
Throughout May, local residents have the chance to shine the spotlight on their food heroes from across the LGA by naming the business on Facebook or Instagram and telling the community something about the type of deliciousness they offer.
From takeaway shops, butchers, cafes, bakeries and pie-shops, to home-based food businesses such as cake makers, now is the perfect time to sing their praises to the community.
But don't forget to add #SupportLocalCessnock to go in the running for a prize!
Fifteen gift vouchers, worth $34 each, for Heddon Greta Drive-In are up for grabs this month.
Cessnock City Mayor Dan Watton said the Cessnock LGA had many outstanding food businesses, and he was looking forward to hearing about those that got the tastebuds tingling in the community.
"Good food is one of life's great treats, and we are spoiled for choice here in the Cessnock LGA," said Clr Watton.
"This month is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the best our community can dish-up."
