Council will soon begin road rehabilitation works on Windham Street in Wallan to improve road quality and safety for all users.
The works will involve strengthening the existing road base through in-situ stabilisation then resurfacing to provide a smoother and more durable road.
Works on Duke Street, Wallan are also being planned. Council will update the community when dates and impacts are known.
When are the works happening?
- Works are scheduled to begin on Tuesday 7 April and are expected to be completed by Friday 17 April, weather permitting.
What to expect during construction
- Temporary road closures on Windham Street
- Detours and traffic management in place
- Changed access conditions for nearby properties at times
- Local traffic will still be able to access homes and businesses; however delays are expected
- Drivers are asked to allow extra travel time and follow the direction of traffic controllers and signage
