Wine Growth Fund grants awarded to Best's Wines and Grampians Winemakers

Best's Wines and Grampians Winemakers have received a financial boost after it was announced that they are grant recipients of the Victorian Government's Wine Growth Fund.

Based in Great Western, Best's Wines have received $70,000 to go towards a winery refurbishment, while Grampians Winemakers received $10,000 to develop an interactive digital map of local wineries within the region.

The grants program is designed to support the growth of wineries in the region, increase visitor numbers, boost exports and support local jobs.

Labor Member for Western Victoria, Jaala Pulford said, "I am thrilled to announce the third round of the Wine Growth Fund, providing Western Victoria's best winemakers with the support to grow their businesses and boost visitors to our beautiful wine regions."

"Winemakers in the Grampians Pyrenees region produce some fantastic wines, and we're proud to back this industry to keep growing well into the future."

South West Ward Councillor, Jason Hosemans said, "Obviously the wine industry is a key aspect of our tourism here, as we are very much established as a leading wine area of the state."

"Anything that helps promote or develop our wineries is very much welcome and we congratulate both groups on receiving these grants."
