Demand for food support in Knox is higher than ever. In July, we are asking for our community's support to donate tinned food to help people in need.
Food relief providers in Knox, are noticing that what was once a stop-gap measure 'emergency' food relief is now a way of life for many residents.
You can help by donating tins of food that Council will provide to food relief agencies in Knox. Every tinned food donation will help Knox residents access nutritious food.
We are asking for donations of tinned:
- soup
- tuna
- fruit
- tomatoes
- tomato paste
- spaghetti
- mixed veggies.

Every tinned food donation will help Knox residents access nutritious food.
Council is committed to supporting emergency food relief providers in Knox. Our initiatives include financial support through our grant streams including, Councils Emergency Relief Fund, and leasing facilities at a reduced rate, and ongoing support through the Knox Emergency Relief Network and Food Relief Taskforce.
