Police are appealing for public assistance after two cars collided in Burwood this morning, Victoria Police say.
A green Suzuki Swift and a blue Toyota Corolla hatch back collided at the intersection of Station Street and Burwood Highway about 7.45am.
The driver of the Corolla, a 32-year-old Malvern East man received serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
A 21-year-old female p-plater driving the Suzuki returned a positive preliminary breath test.
The Officer woman returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.02.
Nunawading Highway Patrol officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are keen to speak to any witnesses.
The investigation remains ongoing.
