Witness appeal following Preston pedestrian collision

Greensborough Highway Patrol police are appealing for public assistance following a collision between a truck and a pedestrian this morning, Victoria Police say.

Emergency services were called to reports a truck struck a pedestrian on Murray Road, Preston about 7.20am.

The pedestrian, a 60-year-old Preston woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck, a 33-year-old Thomastown man, stopped at the scene.

He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Investigators are hoping to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dash-cam vision of the incident or truck leading up to the collision.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the collision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
