Witness appeal for car and house fire in Cheltenham

Police are appealing for witnesses to a car and house fire in Cheltenham early this morning.

Investigators were told an unoccupied parked car outside a residence on Moonda Crescent caught fire then spread to a residential unit about 2.35am.

Occupants of the unit, a 50-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy were unharmed in the incident.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and an investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.
