Woman almost nine times legal limit charged with high-range PCA after crash - Cringila

Police have charged a woman after she was allegedly caught driving her car while almost nine times the legal limit in the state's south coast today

About 2.20pm (Sunday 21 July 2019), police were called to Spring Hill Road after reports a Suzuki Swift had crashed into a fence in Cringila, just south of Wollongong.

Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police Area Command attended and spoke with the female driver and sole occupant of the Suzuki Swift. She was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.

The 34-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Port Kembla Police Station where she provided an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.432.

She was charged with drive with high range PCA and was issued a future court attendance notice to appear at Port Kembla Local Court on Wednesday 7 August 2019.
