Woman and child approached by men in Bellambi

Police are appealing for information after a woman and child were approached by four men in a car at Wollongong, NSW Police say.

About 4.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 24 January 2018), a 23-year-old woman was holding her one-year-old child outside a childcare centre on Lismore Street, Bellambi, when a vehicle with four males on board approached them.

Police have been told the men made some comments before a witness intervened. The men then drove from the scene.

The woman then walked to a nearby bus stop and again sighted the vehicle on the street nearby.

The incident was later reported to police.

The four men have been described as being of Indian/Sub-Continental or black African appearance, with dark skin.

The car has been described as a silver Holden Cruz sedan with silver rims.

Anyone with information on the incident are urged to contact Wollongong police via Crime Stoppers.
