Woman caught drink driving following Spotswood crash

A 27-year-old woman’s car has been impounded after she was allegedly caught driving at nearly six times the legal alcohol limit in Spotswood yesterday, Victoria Police say.

Altona North police responded to reports a car has allegedly sideswiped a vehicle before hitting a concrete divider on the Williamstown Road off-ramp on the Westgate Freeway about 5pm.

The woman underwent a breath test and returned an alleged reading of .292 per cent.

Her licence was immediately suspended for 12 months and her car was impounded.

Police expect to charge the woman on summons in relation to drink driving and the crash.
