Woman caught driving with two unrestrained children - Langwarrin

A woman has been caught driving with two unrestrained children in her car during a school pick up in Langwarrin yesterday afternoon, Victoria Police say.

Somerville Highway Patrol members observed the vehicle with no number plates displayed travelling west on Robinson Road about 3.50pm.

Police intercepted the unregistered vehicle and spoke to the female driver.

Members then discovered an unrestrained three-year-old child in the vehicle along with a three-month-old baby with loose safety straps.

An oral fluid test conducted on the driver indicated the alleged presence of methyl-amphetamine. This sample will undergo forensic analysis.

The driver from Frankston is expected to be charged on summons with drug driving, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an unsafe vehicle and two counts of failing to have passengers (children) properly restrained.
