Woman caught more than six times legal limit at Port Macquarie

A woman will face court in July after allegedly driving whilst more than six times the legal blood alcohol limit in Port Macquarie overnight.

Emergency services were called to Kennedy Drive, Port Macquarie about 9pm (Monday 6 April 2020), after reports a Ford Falcon had collided with a parked vehicle near Koala Street.

Officers from Mid North Coast Police District attended the scene a short time later and spoke with the alleged driver, a 45-year-old woman.

The uninjured woman was subjected to a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.

She was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station where she returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.338.

The woman was issued a Court Attendance Notice for the offence of high-range PCA and is due to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday 8 July 2020.
