A woman has been charged over an alleged attempted armed robbery in Sydney's south.
Shortly after 10am today (Tuesday 23 September 2025), officers from St George Police Area Command responded to reports of an armed robbery at a bank on Kingsgrove Road, Kingsgrove.
Officers attached to St George Police Area Command attended and arrested a 38-year-old woman armed with a knife inside the bank without incident. Two knives were seized from the woman.
No injuries were reported.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The woman was taken to Kogarah Police Station, where she was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, shoplifting and demand property with menaces with intent to steal.
She was refused bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 24 September 2025).
Police will allege in court the woman stole knives from a shop on Kingsgrove Road, Kingsgrove, before she attended the bank and threatened staff with a knife, demanding money.
