Woman charged on vehicle and drug offences at Bourke

Investigations continue after a woman was charged with drug-related offences following a vehicle stop in the state's north-west.

About 12am on Sunday (27 October 2019), officers attached to Central North Police District stopped an unregistered Holden Commodore towing a caravan north along the Mitchell Highway at Bourke.

Officers spoke with the 43-year-old female driver and seized methylamphetamine and cannabis following a vehicle search.

The woman was arrested and taken to Bourke Police Station where she underwent mandatory blood and urine tests.

She was charged with drive unregistered motor vehicle, use uninsured motor vehicle, and possess prohibited drug (x2).

Investigations continue into suspected illegally-obtained property seized during the vehicle stop.
