Woman charged over DV assault near Shoalhaven, NSW

A man has been treated in hospital after being stabbed with a kitchen fork during an alleged domestic violence-related incident near Shoalhaven overnight, NSW Police say.

Police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command were called to a home on Roseby Park, Orient Point, about 7.30pm today, and found a 46-year-old man with a stab wound to his back.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Shoalhaven Hospital where he is reported to be in a stable condition.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and a kitchen fork was seized for forensic examination.

The woman has been charged with reckless wounding (DV), breach AVO, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

She was refused bail to appear in Nowra Local Court this morning tomorrow.
