Woman charged over Oak Flats shotgun attack

Police investigating the shooting of a man at Oak Flats in June this year have arrested and charged a woman in relation to the incident happened, NSW police said.

On 20 June 2015, emergency services were called to Brigadoon Circuit, following reports that a man had been shot.

On arrival, officers from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command found a man with a gunshot wound to his left arm and side.

He was flown to St George Hospital for treatment to the non-life threatening injuries.

Officers formed Strike Force Norda to investigate the incident and today they arrested a 34-year-old woman in Kirkwood Place at Mount Kembla.

She was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station and later charged with shoot with intent to murder.

The woman has been refused bail and will appear at Port Kembla Local Court tomorrow (Friday 28 August 2015).

Investigators have renewed their appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or with information that may assist their inquiries to contact Oak Flats Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
