Woman charged over Para Vista stabbing, SA

Police are investigating a violent assault at Para Vista this afternoon, according to SA Police.

Police and paramedics were called to the Para Vista home just before 4.15pm by reports a woman had been stabbed in the neck.

A woman was found at the scene with a serious injury and was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Her injury is no longer considered life-threatening and she is in a stable condition.

Police, including Holden Hill CIB detectives, are investigating.

A 21-year-old Para Vista woman, believed to be a relative of the victim, was arrested at the scene. She has been charged with aggravated assault cause serious harm and is expected to face the Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police wish to reassure the community that this was not a random incident and the people involved are known to each other.
