Woman charged over stealing and fraud offences in Dubbo

A woman has been charged after numerous alleged steal from person and fraud offences in Dubbo, NSW Police say.

Between March and May 2017, there were a number of steal from person offences committed in or around a shopping centre on Macquarie Street.

These offences involved the stealing of items from shopping trolleys, or taken from the back of toilet cubical doors.

Many of these offences were committed upon elderly women.

As a result of inquiries by police from Orana Local Area Command, today, police arrested a 30-year-old woman at an address in Wellington.

She was taken to Wellington Police Station and charged with six steal from person offences, and two associated fraud offences. These offences relate to six different victims.

The woman has been refused bail to appeal at Dubbo Local Court tomorrow.
