Woman charged with drink driving after crashing into police vehicle in Padstow

A woman will appear in court next month after allegedly crashing her car into the rear of a police vehicle in Padstow Heights last night, NSW Police say.

About 9.30pm today, a marked police caged vehicle was stopped at a red traffic light at the intersection of Alfords Point Road and Clancy Street when a Toyota Corolla crashed into the rear of their vehicle.

The two officers from Sutherland Local Area Command got out of their vehicle and approached the 40-year-old female driver who was still sitting in her car.

After speaking with the woman she was subjected to a roadside breath test that allegedly provided a positive result.

She was arrested and taken to Sutherland Police Station where she allegedly provided a breath analysis reading of 0.152.

She was issued a Court Attendance Notice for high range PCA, and will in Sutherland Local Court on Thursday 8 September, 2016.

Her licence has been suspended.

There was no visible damage sustained to the police vehicle.
