Woman charged with Mowbray Charity Shop fire, TAS

Police have charged a Newnham woman with deliberately setting fire to a Mowbray Charity Shop on 18 April, Tasmania Police say.

The 34-year-old woman will appear before the Launceston Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with:

  • Unlawfully Setting Fire to Property – relating to Charity Shop fire on Invermay Road which caused around $20,000 damage.
  • Causing a Fire with Intent to Injure Property – relating to attempted fire at Rocherlea residence on 16 April, no damage was caused.
