A crime scene has been established at a home in Campsie after a woman was found injured in a flat a short time ago, NSW Police say.
Police from Campsie Local Area Command were called to the flat in Campsie Street shortly before 5am tomorrow, and found a woman with serious head injuries.
She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to St George Hospital. Her condition is described as being in a critical but stable.
A man was arrested at the scene and has been taken to Campsie Police Station where he is assisting detectives.
Police are investigating if this is a domestic violence-related incident.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
