Woman dies after being hit by own car at Mudgee

A woman has died after being hit by her own car in the state's north-west this morning.

About 8.35am today (Friday 23 August 2019), the 28-year-old woman arrived at her workplace on Mortimer Street at Mudgee and got out of her vehicle.

It is believed the vehicle has rolled forward and trapped the woman.

A member of the public found the injured woman and notified emergency services who arrived a short time later.

Despite efforts the woman was unable to be revived.

Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District established a crime scene and continue investigations.
