Woman Dies After Crash - Black Springs

A woman has died following a crash in the state's west this evening.

About 5pm (Friday 2 October 2026), emergency services were called to Dog Rocks Road, Black Springs – about 24km south of Oberon - following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Chifley Police District were told a car had left the roadway and hit a tree.

NSW Rural Fire Service attended and performed CPR on an occupant of the car prior to the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The woman – believed to be aged in her 20s – could not be revived and died at the scene.

She is yet to be formally identified.

The other occupant of the car – a 24-year-old woman – was treated at the scene for head and chest injuries before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.
