Woman dies after Lyndoch crash, SA

A woman has died in hospital from injuries sustained in a crash at Lyndoch on Friday, according to SA Police.

Just before 3.30pm on Friday 27 January, police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Hermann Thumm Drive and Barossa Valley Way after reports that a sedan and four-wheel drive had collided.

The driver of the sedan, an 89-year-old Kingswood man died at the scene.

Two female passengers in the sedan were airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries.

Sadly, one of those women, a 93-year-old from Seacombe Gardens, has since died from her injuries in hospital.

The driver of the four-wheel-driver suffered minor injuries.

Major Crash investigators are examining the circumstances of the crash.

The State's road toll currently stands at 5, it was 7 at the same time last year.
