A woman has died following a single vehicle crash in the state's north yesterday.
Just after 7pm yesterday (Sunday 31 May 2026), emergency services were called to Wyee Road, near Bethshan Street, Wyee, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a black sedan.
A 45-year-old woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, she could not be revived.
She is yet to be formally identified.
The driver – a woman in her 40's – was taken to Wyong Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Wyee Road, between Bethshan Street and Ruttleys Road, is closed due to an ongoing operation at this time.
