Woman dies after trailbike crash - Mortdale

A woman has died after a trailbike crash in Sydney's south last week.

Just after 4am on Friday (29 January 2021), emergency services were called to Martin Place near The Strand, Mortdale, after reports of a trailbike crash.

The woman was a pillion passenger on the trailbike, which was being driven by a 39-year-old man, when it crashed into a parked car.

The man and 27-year-old woman were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to St George Hospital.

Police have been advised that the woman died in hospital yesterday (Monday 1 February 2021).

The man remains in hospital where he is undergoing treatment for his injuries.

Specialist police from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit, are conducting inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
