Woman dies following Ravenahll collision

A woman has died following a collision in Ravenhall on 4 August, Victoria Police say.

It is believed a car which was travelling on the Western Ring Road hit a vehicle which had stopped in the left lane just before 5.30am.

The 31-year-old Melton South woman, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle which was stopped on the road, sustained life threatening injuries.

She died in hospital on Monday.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 28-year-old Brookfield man, was also taken to hospital for observation.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and the exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined.
