Woman dies in hospital after crash in Maffra

A woman has died in hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Maffra which also claimed the life of a man yesterday.

It is believed the car left Stratford-Maffra Road and struck a tree just after 3pm on 14 May.

The male driver, an 89-year-old Stratford man, died at the scene.

His passenger, an 82-year-old Stratford woman, was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition and sadly died later that evening.

The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
