Woman dies in hospital following crash into brick wall at Sylvania, NSW

A woman has died in hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Sylvania earlier this week, NSW Police say.

About 1.30pm on Tuesday 17 July 2018, emergency services responded to reports a Toyota Yaris reversed into a brick wall on Terrace Avenue at Sylvania.

A neighbour came to the aid of the driver, an 89-year-old woman, and contacted emergency services.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman at the scene before she was taken to St George Hospital in a serious condition.

About 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 18 July 2018), the woman died in hospital.

Officers from the Sutherland Shire Police Area Command will prepare a report for the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
