A 23-year-old Gracemere woman was arrested and charged with 19 offences on January 10, during the State Flying Squad's latest deployment to Rockhampton.
Police will allege that on January 10, the Gracemere woman broke into a Wandal business, damaging property and stealing multiple sets of car keys before leaving in a stolen vehicle, which was also damaged.
The woman then allegedly attempted to break into two Gracemere residences, trespassed and demanded keys to a vehicle while making threats.
Police will allege she then entered a third Gracemere residence and took car keys and a phone before stealing a vehicle and assaulting a 70-year-old woman causing injuries, before she was detained and arrested by local police.
Police will also allege that on January 11, the woman assaulted a police officer causing bodily harm and obstructed a second police officer from performing his duties.
Officers from the State Flying Squad and local Gracemere police searched the woman and vehicles, locating drug utensils and stolen property.
The 23-year-old Gracemere woman was charged with two counts each of attempted enter dwelling with intent, PPRA obstruct police officer and drive whilst disqualified, and one count each of robbery with violence, serious assault police officer causing bodily harm, enter dwelling with intent with violence, enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, unlawful use of motor vehicles damages property, unlawful use of motor vehicles armed with offensive instrument, demand property with menace with intent to steal, wilful damage, drive whilst under influence of liquid, possess knife in public place, possess used utensils, trespass and fraud dishonestly make off without payment.
She was remanded in custody and is next expected to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on February 5.
Capricornia District Superintendent Mark Burgess said apprehending serious offenders of this nature has significant benefits to the Rockhampton community.
"We're sending a clear message that Queensland Police Service won't tolerate violent behaviour towards officers or any member of the community," Superintendent Burgess said.
"We'll continue utilising all available resources, including the State Flying Squad, to arrest serious repeat offenders such as this and keep making the Rockhampton community safer."
