Police are investigating after a woman was hit by a car at Unanderra, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to Cook Street just after 6pm yesterday today, after the 26-year-old was hit by a Holden Commodore.
She was airlifted to St George Hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the car has been taken to Wollongong Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command have established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to come forward.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
