Woman in critical condition after pedestrian crash - Granville

An investigation is underway following a crash that left a woman in a critical condition in Sydney's west today.

Just before 5am (Tuesday 25 January 2022), emergency services were called to Parramatta Road near Good Street, Granville, after reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

A 21-year-old woman was located suffering serious injuries and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle – a 53-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established, which will be examined by specialist forensic police and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
