Woman in custody after pursuit and crash, NSW

A woman is in hospital undertaking blood and urine tests after a pursuit and crash in Sydney's west.

About 1.10am (Saturday 19 January 2019), officers from Traffic & Highway Patrol Command attempted to stop a Ford Falcon which was travelling west on the M4 at Minchinbury.

The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated, which travelled west on the M4 and then on to the Roper Road offramp at Erskine Park, where the vehicle left the road and rolled onto its side.

The female driver and sole occupant, aged in her 20s, was arrested and taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests and treatment for minor injuries.

Following her release, she is expected to be taken to Parramatta Police Station and charged.
