Woman injured after being hit by car at Revesby

A woman was seriously injured after she was hit by a car at Revesby tonight.

Around 7.30pm (Tuesday 18 June 2019), a 65-year-old woman was walking along the River Road.

As she was crossing Spence Street she was hit by a car turning from The River Road.

The driver of the Nissan X-Trail stopped after the crash.

The woman was treated on site by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment to suspected head injuries and leg fractures.

The male driver spoke with police at the scene before being taken to Bankstown Hospital for further medical tests.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are continuing inquiries into the events leading up to the crash.
