Woman injured after SUV crashes at Randwick

Inquiries are underway into a crash which has blocked Rainbow Street in Randwick this morning.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were in Willis Street shortly before 3.20am (Wednesday 14 July 2021), when they saw a woman get into an SUV and drive away.

The vehicle turned onto Rainbow Street and was found a short time later crashed into a parked car, flipping the parked vehicle onto its roof.

The 31-year-old woman was treated at the scene before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital.

Rainbow Street is currently closed between Avoca and Paton streets while officers from the Crash Investigation Unit examine the scene.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
