Woman rescued at Henley Beach, South Australia

A woman was rescued from rough waters by police at Henley Beach Yesterday.

About 3.20pm, patrols were flagged down by a member of the public after noticing a woman in trouble about 150 metres out to sea.

Members from Water Operations Unit didn't hesitate to strip down and run into the surf. Conditions were difficult the woman was being dragged by the current and further out to sea.

They reached the woman and managed to get her back to shore. The 19-year-old was taken to hospital but is expected to make a full recovery.
