Police are investigating after a woman’s body was located in Sydney’s south, NSW Police say.
About 6.45am tomorrow, emergency services were called to Florida Street, Sylvania, following reports of a concern for welfare.
Officers attached to Miranda Local Area Command attended and located the body of a 55-year-old woman.
Subsequently, a 27-year-old man was arrested on The Princes Highway, St Peters, and was taken to Newtown Police Station where he is currently assisting with inquiries.
The woman’s death is being treated as suspicious and a crime scene has been established.
Inquiries are continuing.
