Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are hoping to identify a man following a sexual assault at a venue in Melbourne on Sunday 6 May, Victoria Police say.
Police have been told a woman was approached by an unknown man at an adult entertainment venue on Elizabeth Street about 7.45pm.
It is believed the man sexually assaulted the woman before punching her to the head.
The man then ran from the venue onto Elizabeth Street and then onto Flinders Lane.
The woman received upper body injuries and paramedics were called to the scene.
Investigators have released an image of the man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
