Woman struck by car in Glendenning

A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car at Glendenning, NSW Police say.

The 53-year-old was crossing Richmond Road when she was struck by a Holden Commodore just before 6pm today.

She was taken to Westmead Hospital with serious head injuries.

Officers from Mount Druitt Local Area Command attended, established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.

The driver of the car, a woman believed to be aged in her 20s, wasn’t injured but has been taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Inquiries are continuing.
