Woman Struck By Her Own Stolen Vehicle

Police continue to search for a vehicle stolen outside a Berwick hospital this morning.

It is understood a 66-year-old woman was accompanying her husband from their car to the hospital entrance on Kangan Drive around 10.45am.

A man that had just left the hospital has jumped into the vacant car.

The owner of the car saw this and has attempted to stop the man driving away, she was then struck by the moving vehicle.

The Upper Beaconsfield woman has been transported to a Melbourne hospital in a critical condition.

The offender and the stolen vehicle are yet to be located at this stage.

The car is described as a 2012 brown Ford Territory with registration DEX 581.
