Melbourne West police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a car in West Melbourne overnight (October 27), Victoria Police say.
The collision occurred on Dynon Road, near Sims Street, when a female pedestrian was struck by a car just after 11pm.
The 34-year-old Hoppers Crossing woman was crossing the road when she was struck by a west-bound white Toyota Camry.
The driver of the Camry, a man aged in his 60s, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with the investigation.
The woman was conveyed to hospital with a serious head injury.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have dash cam footage of the collision to contact Crime Stoppers.
