Wonthaggi Netball Pavilion Opens, Secures More Funding

It's a win for local sport in Wonthaggi, with the new Netball Pavilion at Wonthaggi Recreation Reserve officially complete and more good news hitting the court on the day with fresh funding announced for upgraded lighting.

Bass Coast Shire Council is proud to open the new modern, inclusive Netball pavilion, delivering a major upgrade for the Wonthaggi Power Football Netball Club.

The new pavilion will also be home to the Wonthaggi & District Netball Association, which has welcomed the return of a junior Saturday competition for the first time in many years.

Centrally located between the seven courts, the pavilion improves visibility, usability and the overall game-day experience for players and spectators. It includes:

  • Three fully equipped change rooms
  • Umpire facilities
  • Accessible toilet and changing space
  • Medical room, office, kitchenette and multi‑purpose spaces

    Canteen, baby change facilities and storage

  • An undercover spectator viewing area overlooking the courts
