Work to begin on Berridale Highdale Carpark upgrade

Council is making final preparations to begin work on the long-awaited upgrades to Berridale's Highdale Carpark, located at the corner of Jindabyne Road and Highdale Street.

Tender applications will be received by Friday 15 October 2021 and after a successful applicant has been selected, the works can start by Monday 1 November 2021.

This important infrastructure project for the town of Berridale will be completed in two stages:

• Stage One will see the removal of furniture, road signs, and some sections of pavement; with an expected completion date of Monday 15 November 2021

• Stage Two will see the construction and sealing of new and replacement pavement, installation of walkways and new signs, lane and line marking, and replacement furniture installed; with an expected start date of Tuesday 16 November 2021.

At this early stage in the project, we currently expect all work to be completed before Friday 31 December 2021.

We appreciate the patience of residents, businesses and tourists while upgrade work is underway. We will provide alternate parking when required, and ask that the community remains mindful of potential delays and the movement of machinery and workers in the area.

The consultation process for this project has been extensive and we thank all those in the community who have contributed and given feedback on this throughout that time.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during the upgrade, although we look forward to sharing the new and improved Highdale Carpark with the community soon.
