Hilltops Council

Council are pleased to announce that work on an inclusive playground at Tresillian Park in Young is due to commence this Thursday 24 June 2021.

Council's contractor will be on site delivering the project, which is expected to be completed in time for residents and visitors to enjoy the playground over the summer months.

The concept design for the exciting new inclusive playspace aims to provide an inclusive play experience and offers a range of play options for all to enjoy.

Once the contractor arrives on site the old playground will be closed off and demolition will commence.

Hilltops Council General Manager Anthony O'Reilly says "This exciting project is being funded by the State Government and I thank Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke for her ongoing advocacy and support of this project. I know the community have been waiting to see work commence so I thank everyone for their patience and very much look forward to the official opening later in the year."

"Playgrounds provide a great sense of community, and this truly inclusive design will ensure that no one misses out on the opportunity for social interaction and fun." He concluded.
