Works Progress Across Ararat Rural City

Ararat Rural City Council continues to deliver on its commitment to maintaining and improving local infrastructure, with several key projects advancing throughout the municipality this month.

Two tenders were advertised last week for the Buangor Ben Nevis Road and McCrows Road bridge strengthening projects, and Council looks forward to receiving bids on these important projects.

Meanwhile, work continues on Mt William Road, where contractors are laying approximately 5,000 tonnes of rock this week. We urge local residents to follow signage and take care in the area while these works continue.

Under our Safe Local Roads and Streets program, the first tender will go out in the coming days for planned works and upgrades to King Street.

Ararat Rural City Council CEO, Dr Tim Harrison, said the progress reflects the Council's focus on delivering practical improvements that benefit the community every day. "Whether it's upgrading roads, improving facilities, or supporting local contractors, these projects are about making sure our region continues to move forward," Dr Harrison said.

"Our capital works program isn't just about infrastructure - it's about investing in the future of every township and community space across Ararat Rural City."

Council's capital works schedule will continue to roll out through the coming months, with updates to be shared on the Council website and e-newsletter as projects advance.
