Netball and tennis clubs in Broadford will soon be able to enjoy the benefits of the revamped Harley Hammond Reserve with a $2.5 million upgrade underway including new shared courts, competition standard lights and a shared-used pavilion.
Mitchell Shire Council is providing $2 million, with $500,000 from the Victorian Government through Sport and Recreation Victoria's Female Friendly Facilities Fund. The Harley Hammond Reserve Committee of Management is also contributing nearly $14,000 to the project.
Construction of the integrated pavilion is now well underway, with works recently starting on the courts.
Harley Hammond Reserve is the premier community sporting reserve in Broadford with more than 550 registered players. The reserve is heavily used for netball, tennis, football and cricket.

- Broadford Football Netball Club
- Broadford Junior Football Netball Club
- Broadford Auskick
- Broadford Cricket Club
This high priority project supports female sport with greater integration and participation opportunities for all users. The shared pavilion will cater for sporting activities as well as broader community use.
The dual-use netball/tennis court and lighting works are expected to be completed in a few months. The integrated pavilion is due for completion towards the middle of the year.
